Character:  Medium water requirements.  Low maintenance.  Can be used as a hedge.  Easy to grow in average well drained soil.  Prefers moist, rich soil but must drain well. 

 

Leaves / Foliage Type:  oval shaped dark green leaves approximately 1.25” long.  Leaves turn purplish to bronze in the autumn.    No serious insect or disease problems. 

 

Flowering / Fruit: Blooms May through September, lavender / Pink bloom color.  Has clusters of lavender-pink , funnel shaped flowers.  Best flowering in full sun.  Blooms on new wood, so prune only when needed.  Prune in late winter to early spring.
